Ways families help

There is more than one kind of shift.

01

On the course

Gate judging and course work help races run. Some roles need a briefing or training before the event.

02

Race operations

Families may assist with timing, scoreboards, race boards, or other organizer tasks.

03

Team support

Food, event coordination, and bus chaperoning may be needed too.

The exact roles and requirements vary by race. Choose from the current team signup.

How to sign up

Use this race’s SignUpGenius link.

01Open the current SignUpGenius invitation for the specific race. Ask the team organizers for the link if you cannot find it.
02Check the shift time, meeting point, clothing, and any training or age requirement.
03Read the organizer’s briefing and tell the coordinator if your availability changes.

Each race may have a different signup link. SignUpGenius records volunteer commitments; TeamSnap carries schedule changes and race invitations.

Learn the role

Use the current official training.

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard officials education resources include material for race workers and gate judges. Your event’s organizer and coaches will tell you which briefing or training applies to that high-school race.

New volunteers are welcome. If you are unsure which role fits, ask the volunteer coordinator through the current team message.
